Jeans for Genes Day
Thank you for supporting the ‘Jeans for Genes’ day, a total of £201.65 was raised, which has been forwarded to this charity.
Admission of Children to Primary School
Children, who are four on or before 1 July 2017, are due to start school in September 2017. Application forms for enrolment are available from either the Tirkeeran site or the Glenullin site of St Patrick’s and St Joseph’s.
The application form plus the child’s birth certificate should be returned to the school no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 11 January 2017.
Parents’ Association
Tickets are attached for the Parents’ Association Christmas hamper raffle, 5 strips of tickets for £5.
A collection will be taken after the Carol Service and Nativity on behalf of the Parents’ Association. As in previous years all money will be passed back to the school for speciality items that would not normally be in the school budget, for example the recent provision of play equipment. These items are used by all our children to significantly enhance their educational experience.
Thank you for your support. The Parents’ Association
Allergies / Medical Needs
A number of children within the school are allergic to nuts and or eggs. As an anaphylactic reaction to these foods can be potentially life threatening we ask that all parents ensure that no nut products (e.g Kinder eggs/ bars) or egg (such as egg sandwiches) be brought into the school.
Any parent who has a child requiring any medication during school hours (this includes Calpol and asthmatic inhalers) must always fill out the appropriate forms available from the school office prior to the child taking or bringing the medication to school.
A reminder for parents whose child has agreed medication stored in the school that the onus is upon the parent to supply a small zipped bag for medicine storage and to ensure that the medication is always within its expiry date.
Whole School Assembly
The Whole School Assembly on Friday 2 December will be led by P6 in the Glenullin site. It will commence at 9.15 a.m. and everyone is welcome
